What's the best ricotta you've ever had? For most Canadians, the answer was never lactose free — until now.

Tre Stelle had a product worth tasting. CRUEL built the moment to taste it.


To launch Tre Stelle's new Lactose Free Ricotta, CRUEL designed the Tre Stelle Kitchen — a live cooking activation that put the product in consumers' hands before it ever hit their cart. Rather than a standard sample handoff, brand ambassadors prepared fresh recipes on-site and invited consumers into the process, turning a grocery aisle moment into a genuine brand experience.


The program ran June through October 2025 across Ontario and BC, showing up at eleven retail partners and six community events — from Real Canadian Superstore and Sobeys to Taste of Little Italy and Surrey Canada Day. 141 occasions. 197,400 samples. Every single one delivered through a real human interaction, in a real moment, with a real reaction.


Those reactions told the story. Consumers who had written off ricotta entirely discovered a product that delivered on taste and texture without compromise — and said so unprompted. The lactose-free story wrote itself the moment someone took a bite.
